These Specialized Alibi's have spent the last few years in our rental fleet here at Napa Valley Bike Tours. They are all in excellent condition! We turn our fleet over each year so our touring and rental guests have new bikes every year. This equates to an excellent opportunity for you to buy a bike that is in perfect mechanical condition and still looks good! There are some minor cosmetic scratches here and there, but mechanically, they are in excellent condition always serviced and maintained by our in-house bike mechanics. As you see in the sampling of photos attached, the overall condition is great so you get a sweet deal on a tuned, lubed, cleaned, good condition, used bike purchased from a legitimate seller who has been in business over 30 years. The "airless tire" isn't a new idea, but no one has ever created a good one. In the past, airless tires offered a very uncomfortable ride where you felt every bump in the road. They were also much heavier than the conventional tire and they didn't have good traction. But, Specialized's R&D dept fixed all that by inventing a material they call "Alpha Olefin Block Copolymer". This material is similar to the bottoms of high-end running shoes, but super resistant to wear and tear while providing great traction to the road. Our bikes have been ridden approximately 1000 miles and the tires still look new! More importantly, if and when they do need to be replaced, the tire costs $35, the same as a conventional bike tire and they weight no more than a normal tire with tubes.
